Lab Technician

We have a new Lab Technician opportunity available on the south side of Indianapolis, IN!

This Lab Technician will be working with the quality team to perform laboratory analysis and QA/QC checks required refinery analysis. The job responsibilities will be as follows:

- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, pollution control, quality control, and minor research

- Test and analyze products, such as feed, beverage and industrial alcohol, to determine if product meets plant specifications prior to release

- Release in spec vessels and report out of spec vessels

- Test and analyze production samples, such as fermenters, beerstills, rectifiers, etc., and report uncharacteristic results

- Document results of tests, readings, etc. in logbooks and in TLC (Total Lab Client)

- Complete certificates of analysis

- Prepare chemical solutions for use in lab

- Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment and related field instrumentation

- Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines

- Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

1) Life Science degree (Associates/Bachelor's) OR 2+ years of industry lab experience

2) Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

Plus:

1) Food Science Degree

2) Any Food & Beverage industry experience
