Analytical QA/QC Lab Tech opportunity in Indianapolis, IN

A global international food and beverage ingredient solutions company is seeking an immediate full-time Analytical QA/QC Lab Tech. This client is the main provider to the world with innovative and on-trend ingredient solutions to the food, beverage, brewing and pharmaceutical industries as well as numerous industrial sectors for corn starch. Primary responsibility is to provide testing for raw materials, perform analytical tests independently and accurately as written in test procedures as part of the QC laboratory, and assist with maintaining complete, accurate, and legible test records. Viscosity, moisture analysis, NIR, ICP, and other instrumentation are primarily used.

The QA/QC Lab Technician will be Responsible for the Following:

• Will be hands on within the lab testing raw materials.
• Perform analytical tests independently and accurately as written in test procedures as part of the quality control laboratory.
• The day to day testing is unique to the industry so most of the instrumentation will be new to most candidates.
• Testing using viscosity, moisture analysis, NIR, ICP, and other corn industry instrumentation.
• Maintain complete, accurate and legible test records, in accordance with company policy and record keeping procedure.
• Follow all safety and quality guidelines according to Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

• B.S. or B.A in Life Science (Chemistry, Food Science degree, Biology, Microbiology, etc.)
• 1+ year of experience working in a laboratory setting (School or Professional)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team
