Heavy Machinery - make large equipment. Large or small assembly- just depends on where the person would do best in. Some areas could be lighter and others heavier. Standing the majority of the day. Could be taking parts off the line to put into bins. Use of basic hand tools in large assembly - putting the product together. Sorting as well. Variety of different areas they could work in. Perform some measurements - they will be looking off prints as well to help assembly. Checklist to be sure things are put together correctly.
Set up and operation of, brakes, saws, and flamers.
Performs regular first echelon machine maintenance and reports regular first echelon machine maintenance and reports probable machine malfunctions.
Responsible for seeing that functional supplies and parts are on hand to assure productive machine operation.
Responsible for first parts and periodic part inspection to assure part is made to print.
Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments for machine operations
Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards ie: Proper use of personal protective equipment Proper use of safety devices, as required Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment. Has the responsibility for their safety and safety of others.
Put product on a machine and it could stamp out the product. Putting materials on Machine and pushing the button. Take products off machine and put into a bin. Others will do the programming and setting up of the machine.
Pick, pack, and prepare product for shipment in an efficient manner ensuring that the correct quantity type of product is picked, packed, and prepared for shipment
Pick parts ensuring the quantity and part match the order
Prepare product for shipment by loading and sealing boxes
Weigh boxes and prepare labels when necessary
Load, Unload, Lift, Lower, and Stage pallets, tubs, and other products (palletized and non-palletized)
Perform light quality control and report quality variances
Input and Retrieve data to assigned bar code units
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
