Working with project management to support installations, new launches and special/capital projects. Will be 80% on the floor and 20% in office. Working to reduce cycle times and providing line side support. Under the direction of management, exercises responsibility for execution of Engineering strategies. This position develops priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversees implementation.
Some specific responsibilities would be:
- PLC Programming/Troubleshooting
- Expansion initiatives
- Enhance preventative maintenance and work plans/instructions
- CAD layout/updates
- New lines moves & installs
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience (5+ years if there is no engineering degree)
- Experience within automotive manufacturing engineering
- Understanding of Solidworks or a similar design software
- Willingness to work in a fast paced environment with quick turnaround times
