-set-up and operate all types of machining equipment such as mills, drill press, lathes, boring mill, CNC equipment and hand tools. -Read and understand blueprints/drawings. -Must be able to use inspection gauges such as dial bore gauge, micrometers, calipers, scales, protractor, etc. -Must be quality minded. -Ability to follow and hold tight tolerance per engineering spec of a specific part. -Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision. ----- Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions. -Duties may include handling of hazardous materials and managing hazardous wastes in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. -Ability to follow schedule in most efficient way. -Ability to assist Manufacturing Engineers in development and improvement of tooling process. -Organizing the ordering and inventory of purchased machining tooling. -Ability to assist and guide Machinists on operations and procedures necessary to manufacture a specific part

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or equivalent required. -Significant experience (minimum of 5 years) in set-up and operations of various types of machine shop equipment as mentioned above. -Programming experience and familiarity with Mazatrol is a positive. -Perform assignments with a minimum of supervision. -Advanced layout. -Capable of leading a team/committee. -Working knowledge of tooling feeds and speeds. -Must be able to read blueprints.
