The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The AOC supports court facilities and programs in all 120 counties, with its main campus in Frankfort. This opening is in Lexington, KY The Technology Support Specialists are responsible for making sure the court systems' laptop/desktop and peripherals environment is up and running. Within the first 30-60 days, the Support Specialists will be executing a Dell refresh - migrating user data and replacing outdated laptops and desktops. They will also be handling daily issues/tickets that come in from the Service Desk in Frankfort. The need for troubleshooting and problem resolution will be at a high level. Will resolve 50-60% of issues over the phone and 40-50% in person. Some travel throughout the counties surrounding Fayette County will be required. Mileage is reimbursed at .44/mile. CLIENT JOB DESCRIPTION: RESPONSIBILITIES This position will be responsible for agency hardware, systems software and applications software portfolio, including maintenance of data dictionaries, equipment and software installation and upgrades, data conversions, system utilities and change control. Coordinates problem and referrals to other support areas. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Education Substitute: Assoc./2 Yrs. job related experience or HS diploma/4 Yrs. job related experience. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • Ability to identify and troubleshoot defective equipment • Determine and resolve hardware issues prior to deployment • Possess network room knowledge and experience SPEICAL REQUIREMENTS • Network Operating Systems • Computer Technical Certification in the following MOS, MTA, MCP, A+ OR MCITP • General Understanding of the ITIL Framework TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • 08:00 – 17:00 M-F • Work is primarily performed in an office setting • Must be able to climb ladder • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. • Travel is required • Should have a valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, state required motor vehicle insurance and will be expected to travel statewide for the duration of the deployment project
