1. Performs clerical duties as needed for x-ray and lab scheduling, referral appointments, and others as directed. T 2. Maintains current patient records in proper order. T 3. Correctly files all reports and information in the medical record per policies and procedures, assuring correct labels & correct chart. T 4. Utilizes the computer system to obtain tests or reports as needed per physician request. T 5. Correctly enters outpatient visit data in unit outpatient log. T 6. Schedules patient return appointments as needed. CT,T 7. Sends and receives telephone messages and communicates them to the appropriate persons in a timely manner. T 8. Assures that only authorized persons have access to patient’s chart and clinical area. T 9. Interacts effectively with other team members in a timely manner to keep them informed changes. IP 10. Demonstrates effective time management skills. CT 11. Prioritizes work to meet clinic needs. CT 12. Coordinates patient appointments for testing with other departments. T 13. Maintains level of chart documents at established standard, i.e., MD order sheets, progress notes, etc. T 14. Maintains level of supplies within established standard. T 15. Maintains open communication with clinical staff during emergency situations. T 16. Keeps Practice Manager well informed about significant issues, events or concerns. CT,IP 17. Pulls and preps charts for upcoming appointments and audits for accuracy. CT 18. Stuffs and mails welcome letters & new patient paperwork to all new patients. CT 19. Schedules lunches for reps to meet with physicians. CT,IP 20. Confirms patient appointments by calling with upcoming appointment times. CT,IP 21. Performs other duties as assigned. CT,IP,T
