Description:

- Monitor global and regional issues for regulatory food safety

- Prefer the proactive regulatory approach to the reactive approach for identifying and responding to brand threats

- Make compliance recommendations for products to global regulatory environments when used in foods, feed, drugs and cosmetics

- Develop, document, and implement procedures to address regulatory issues affecting the Food Industry

- Complete customer questionnaires using established regulatory projects database and current company information/documentation

- Develop collaborative supplier and raw material qualification approval processes for new suppliers to ensure compliant sources and capture regulatory properties

- Responsible for regulatory integration of new products and technology acquired through acquisitions and partnerships

- Partner with Global Quality Assurance, Applications & Innovations, Marketing and Manufacturing to bring product from concept to commercialization

- Screens competitors’ products and claims for regulatory compliances

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology or related science

- 2+ years Regulatory experience with food ingredients

- Experience with an ERP system or similar database
