Maintenance Engineer

The maintenance engineering group will work on initiatives to ensure Robots and PLCs are installed and programmed as well as laying out programs for maintenance PMs/Schedules and projects. They have close ties to both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance members and will assist on issues that are escalated to an engineering level. Responsible for ensuring equipment in assigned areas runs effectively and efficiently. May require design of equipment tooling such as jigs and fixtures as needed. Writes manufacturing and work instructions.

Hard Skills

• Bachelors in Engineering
• PLC programming/troubleshooting
• Experience in automotive manufacturing

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Work Environment

The team has about 250 people. Equipment includes stamping, roll forming, welding, and painting. The plant can be hot and non-temperature controlled in certain areas. The role involves working first shift but can expect lots of overtime, especially during shutdowns and holidays. There are currently 7 other Maintenance Engineers on the team. The plant can be hot in areas during warm months, and metals manufacturing involves the use of oil and lubricant in processes.
