Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

This position will be working in the RMA group. You will work with SMT or electronic assembly processes and collaborate with Production and teams in Japan to solve quality problems occurring in processes. Responsibilities include handling PPAPs, containment, issuing corrective actions, providing follow-up solutions, writing detailed reports on analysis, creating work instructions, and addressing component issues. You will troubleshoot electronics to understand defect origins, requiring knowledge of electrical/electronics. Additionally, you will be responsible for cost reductions for defects, using 8D/5 Why problem-solving methods to identify root causes, establish counter-measures, and improve processes. In RMA, if a bad part is returned, you will break down the component and use an oscilloscope to determine the cause of failure.
