Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Mt. Sterling, KY

Pay: ($27-40)
Automotive manufacturing facility in Mt. Sterling, KY, is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift. This role is critical to ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience, along with solid mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Technicians work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize downtime, and implement cost‑effective process improvements that support production and quality objectives.
Essential Functions
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC programs
- Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Set up and prepare equipment for production runs
- Provide technical support to all areas of plant production and facility systems
- Read, troubleshoot, and modify PLC, robot, and vision programs to correct issues or improve performance
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and keep a clean, organized work area
- Communicate effectively with team members and document maintenance activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
- PLC troubleshooting experience in an online environment (connecting via handheld or laptop) = PLC platforms include Omron and Allen‑Bradley (RSLogix 500 or similar)
- Experience with sensors, relays, motors, wiring, and electrical control systems
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience
- Preventive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Comfortable working with computers and programs such as Microsoft Excel
Minimum Qualifications
- 2‑year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field OR equivalent hands‑on experience
- 3–5 years of industrial or electrical maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Omron, Allen‑Bradley, or Mitsubishi)
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic prints
- Experience with robots and servos
- Strong communication skills, self‑motivated, and well‑organized
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced troubleshooting and program modification experience with Omron PLCs
- Allen‑Bradley PLC experience
- Ability to read and modify robot programs
- Experience with ABB robots
- Servo experience (IAI and/or Mitsubishi)
- Automotive manufacturing experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $70720.00/yr.
