Plant Controller

Responsibilities:

• Complete financial analysis to monitor costs and financial position in key areas
• Analyze plant income statement and inventory transactions to identify issues, report on performance and drive continuous improvement
• Develop annual plant budget and periodic forecasts
• Develop and review designated plant balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Daily, weekly and month-end activities as required to ensure a complete, accurate and timely close process
• Create and post financial/statistical journal entries
• General ledger maintenance/transactional processing
• Review freight, purchase, cost center and other account coding and various other reports/data for exceptions and accuracy
• Monitor and review asset additions, transfers and disposals; ensure complete and accurate supporting documentation
• Process debit/credit memo transactions and inter-company transfers
• Prepare sales and use tax returns and provide support for federal, state and local income & property tax returns, as applicable
• Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits
• Conduct annual fixed asset audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive experience as Plant Controller (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment
• Experience developing and leading annual budget, periodic forecasting and monthly closing process
• Experience developing and analyzing complex financial models
• SAP experience strongly preferred
