Opportunity Overview:

This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the electrical distribution grid and ensuring the safety of personnel and the public. You will be responsible for service restoration and distribution switching activities, applying technical knowledge of electrical systems and operational practices. This is a rotating shift-oriented position requiring flexibility.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Implement service restoration and distribution switching using experience of electrical distribution systems.
  • Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to develop and implement action plans.
  • Maintain grid integrity and ensure safety and accuracy in all operations.
  • Communicate system conditions, outages, and emergency situations to management.
  • Complete all required reporting and documentation.
  • Participate in and complete the Switching Training Program to become ROC switching certified within 12-16 months.
  • Respond to storm callouts and work overtime.
Who You Are:
  • Interpret complex data and develop applicable insights.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in utility operations, dispatching, emergency services, or customer service.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, engineering, or operations.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems.
