The Technician will be responsible for the operation of the production test equipment including the introduction of new products, capabilities, and technologies. Specific equipment includes anechoic chambers, environmental (temperature & vibration) systems, radar simulators, spectrum analyzer and board level test/troubleshooting stations. The candidate will apply the theory of operation for the unit under test to enable determination of faulty product for design, workmanship, environmental and / or component defects. Additionally, the candidate will work on systems validation, test and analysis while working through all phases of development and integration within the Radio Frequency Labs.


• Developing testing methodologies and instructions

• Designing, developing, and implementing specialized automated test equipment

• Documenting processes and procedures

• Interpreting test requirements, developing, and maintaining test procedures, and documenting test practices

• Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause

• Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields

• Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production

• Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware

• Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause

• Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process

• Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production

• Supporting production test of RF/Microwave subsystems and components on functional test platforms

• Other duties as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ Professional experience with test, test engineering, troubleshooting experience down tot he component level

• Knowledge and experience with schematics

• Troubleshooting experience with test and test engineering

• Operational knowledge and testing experience with an anechoic chamber

• Must be able to operate test equipment independently including Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Programmable Power Supplies and custom developed test fixtures

• Radio Frequency , analog or digital test / troubleshooting skills

• Experience with antenna testing and characterization

• Experience collecting and processing RF data

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

• Ability to understand and develop code in Python, C++

• Advanced understanding of RF electronics theory

• Understanding of radar hardware, theory of operation and test
