The Logistics Support personnel will assist in multiple areas within the Operations department. The daily tasks will range from performing Shipper/Receiver duties, PTO clerk and Quality Inspection. These duties include receiving and verifying incoming material and supplies. Prepare and ships finished product to customers and field support. Picking material and kitting product to build finished goods. Perform quality checks and inspection on purchased material, partially assembled or finished medical devices. Review of quality documents and provide support as needed to the Operations group. They will be 50% shipping and 50% receiving. Daily shipments usually range to about 100 shipments from 5 pounds to 60 pounds.
•Receive, unpack and warehouse in-coming materials and supplies.
•Check in-coming goods against documentation.
•Sort and count materials, supplies and finished goods as needed.
•Make entries into inventory database, prepare periodic reports.
•May perform kitting, labeling or other duties prior to shipping products.
•Prepare necessary documents for shipping goods.
•Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company product according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
•Accurately document the results of inspections and testing.
•Perform data entry into associated data systems. SAP knowledge preferred.
•Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to the supervisor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
•High School graduate or equivalent experience required.
•1-2 years of warehouse/materials handling experience
•Have excellent communication & customer service skills.
•Ability to read, write and speak English.
•Opportunities for overtime!
•1-2 years experience in quality inspection preferred. Medical device experience preferred.
•Attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and manufacturing and inspection procedures.
•Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
•Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision.
•Computer literacy required, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MRP system; SAP knowledge desired.
