Software Test Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineer to work with the sensor team to test and evaluate sensor and sensor systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience in hardware and embedded system testing. The candidate must have a strong desire to up-skill and self-develop. They must have the ability to work well both independently and in team settings.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Learn multiple sensor systems, and master the setup, usage and tools.

• Develop test plans and procedures based on functional requirements and industry standards.

• Bring up sensors, development kits and software tools.

• Go onsite to setup hardware, test fixtures, and conduct tests.

• Develop automated test suites for sensors and embedded systems.

• Document the sensor usage, tools, test suites and test results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BA/BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or similar field).

• 3+ years of Test Engineering experience.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity, work with the team to gather and clarify requirements.

• Experience developing detailed test plans and procedures.

• Able to develop and assemble test fixtures, as well as to procure test equipment in order to execute tests.

• Able to troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a hardware and software perspective in full autonomy.

• Ability to execute tests, analyze results and write test reports.

• Experience working on a new product development team, bringing up hardware is essential.

• Experience with environmental testing including temperature, vibration, shock, humidity, etc.

• Experience with Python and developing automated tests.

• Ability to work independently with little guidance.

• High level of attention to details.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with cameras, ToF sensors, mmWave radar, Lidar.

• Experience with optical power meters, integrating spheres and other optical measurement devices a plus.
