Job Description

Join our team as a Lab Operations Technician, where you will play a crucial role in handling and collecting blood from horseshoe crabs and processing it in a laboratory setting. You will be comprehensively trained on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), along with mastering general aseptic processing and disinfecting techniques. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the horseshoe crab blood collection and processing, handling collection bottles aseptically, ensuring timely and accurate paperwork completion, maintaining production equipment, and tagging crabs with US Fish & Wildlife tags.

Work Environment

The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, starting at 5:30 AM until typically between 4:00-4:30 PM, with potential 4 or 5 day weeks depending on hours worked. The work environment varies from laboratory settings to crab-holding areas. The role may involve overtime, long periods of standing, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), repetitive motions, and exposure to chemical hazards.
