Job Title: Automation Test Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team focused on testing vehicle customer experiences related to data, smartphones, and web services. We are seeking an individual with a strong passion for engineering support services related to Over the Air (OTA) software testing and automation. This role will involve both manual and automated testing of cutting-edge automotive, infotainment, and connectivity technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring accurate reporting and resolution.
- Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Prepare and manage test data, ensuring it is accurate, reliable, and appropriate for testing.
- Generate and maintain detailed test reports, documenting test results and supporting the automation of test processes.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather test plans, including test cases, use cases, and directives.
- Follow established guidelines for developing test automation scripts.
- Leverage existing automation frameworks and utilize Python scripts for automation.
- Create and share summary reports of test results via email and/or Test Rail.
- Investigate reported valid failures (defects), re-create failures to provide additional details including logs, and verify regression testing.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Selenium, JIRA, Agile methodologies, and manual testing.
- Experience with CAN bus and ISO14229/UDS.
- Intermediate level expertise with 2-3 years of prior experience in software test automation, including modifying and updating existing test scripts/framework.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, or similar discipline preferred).
- Experience with software testing and utilizing Test Rail and Atlassian Jira.
- Familiarity with automotive communication technologies such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet is a plus.
