Production Control Coordinator

As part of our Manufacturing team, you'll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we're constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. In this position...

• Lead the Manage-The-Change (MTC) weekly meetings for Dearborn Engine Plant
• Work with Safety, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and various other departments
• Review engineering change notices
• Track and implement all supplier part new model and running changes (Change Control)
• Set up and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) in CMMS
• Order new model supplier parts
• Incorporate changes while holding obsolescence to a minimum

What you'll do...

• Lay out material handling market areas to facilitate material handling, process flow, space utilization, and labor
• Set up call and card market areas
• Work to improve material flow and manage materials and inventory consistent with Lean principles
• Recommend changes to increase safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and optimize efficiency
• Participate in plant layout activities
• Develop floor space analyses to confirm storage requirements and recommend practical solutions where required
• Review supplier part inventories for critical parts (Parts Follow-Up)
• Set up critical supplier conference calls
• Support inventory control initiatives
• Support Woodhaven Forge activities

You'll have...

• High School Diploma or GED
• MS Office Suite

Even better, you may have...

• Bachelor's Degree
• Manufacturing plant experience
• Able to work effectively with both hourly/salary team members
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
