Job Title: Systems Integration Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer with a strong background in edge computing hardware and software integration, particularly in avionics or similar domains. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of networking systems, NSA certification processes, and system requirements flow-down or system modeling. This role involves working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment supporting national security initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the integration of edge computing systems, including hardware and software components, into avionics or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system interoperability and performance.
- Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Apply system modeling techniques to support design decisions and validate system behavior.
- Support and guide NSA certification processes, including documentation, testing, and compliance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware, software, and network layers.
- Provide technical input during design reviews, risk assessments, and system validation efforts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration, with a focus on edge computing and embedded systems
- Proven experience in avionics or similar high-reliability environments
- Strong understanding of networking systems, protocols, and architectures
- Familiarity with NSA certification processes and security compliance standards
- Experience with system requirements flow-down and/or system modeling tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw, Cameo)
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and mission-critical, with a focus on supporting national security initiatives. The position involves significant collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires excellent communication and documentation skills. Familiarity with real-time operating systems and embedded Linux is preferred, as is knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure system design. Adherence to standards such as MIL-STD and DO-178C is important.
