Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Project Manager to oversee a self-performed industrial construction, industrial service, and general contracting project in Pennsylvania for 14-16 months. This role involves strategic project management, from planning and scheduling to managing budgets and ensuring safety compliance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high standards of workmanship and timely completion of projects. Although based primarily in Pennsylvania, this position requires occasional reporting to our headquarters in Pontiac, MI and upon completion of project will be moved to next site.

Hard Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Project for scheduling and budgeting
• Ability to develop and oversee project planning, scheduling, logistics, engineering, and safety plans
• Proficiency in managing project submittal processes and maintaining submittal logs
• Experience in reviewing job tickets for accuracy in time, materials, and quality
• Capability to request, review, analyze, qualify, and select subcontractor quotes
• Skill in completing and submitting building permits

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills to relay customer expectations and provide technical support
• Excellent organizational skills to schedule site visits and conduct meetings
• Leadership in maintaining safety awareness and ensuring adherence to safety rules
• Ability to respond effectively to after-hours emergencies
• Capability to serve as a customer’s primary point of contact and manage internal and external teams efficiently

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

Candidates can live anywhere in the US, but will work Mon-Fri in Pennsylvania, and travel to headquarters in Pontiac, MI occasionally as well.

Work Environment

The primary reporting location is in Pontiac, MI. The role involves managing a project in Pennsylvania for 14-16 months, with necessary occasional travel to Pontiac, MI. (this is long-term - upon completion you will have options for next project). All travel arrangements, including per diem and hotel costs, are facilitated by the company. Typical working hours range from 60-75 hours per week.
