Job SummaryThe Scientific Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of programs, timelines, and deliverables for the Gilbert Family Foundation's Brain Tumor Initiative. Using sound scientific judgement and understanding of BTI goals and objectives, the Scientific Program Manager provides oversight for all BTI programs and activities. The Scientific Program Manager represents BTI in the scientific community with professionalism and a deep understanding of the field and its challenges and is expected to actively engage with relevant communities to develop relationships and opportunities for collaboration and capacity building. The Scientific Program Manager reports to the Foundation's Scientific Officer.Responsibilities

The salary range for this position is eighty-three thousand five hundred dollars to one hundred thirty-five thousand five hundred dollars. - Advanced scientific or medical degree that includes training in the biomedical sciences and at least five years of relevant experience in drug discovery, preclinical development, and/or clinical studies
- Demonstrated successful track record as a mid-level program manager in a biomedical research environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in brain tumor research
- Experience in neuro-oncology research
- Team leadership experience in the biomedical research environment

- Review progress and financial reports, highlighting critical issues and report therein
- Conduct site visits to grantee institutions and nurturing the relationships critical to BTI's success
- Lead coordination of virtual and in-person scientific meetings and BTI advisory board meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships with BTI grantees, advisors, and other experts in the field
- Keep abreast of new developments and challenges in the field, and identify resources to address such issues
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities related to BTI
- Provide support to the Scientific Officer as needed
