Actalent Services (formerly EASi LLC) is hiring an Onboarding Associate for a permanent role supporting the hiring process of engineering and sciences professionals hired into Actalent as consultants and employees. The Onboarding Associate's (OBA) primary responsibilities will be to welcome, communicate, and process new Actalent hires. The OBA will review, communicate, and ensure compliance with our companies’ employment policies and procedures. This individual will be the liaison between the hiring manager, Talent Acquisition, Information Systems, HR and our corporate partners to ensure pre-employment paperwork, compliance and necessary work equipment is accurate, setup and completed prior to hire date.
The OBA will be part of our Onboarding team based in our Troy, MI office and have flexibility to work 1 day/week remote (4 days in-office/1 day remote).
Essential Functions:
- Initiate and complete welcome call to new pending hires
- Distribute new hire paperwork and communicate onboarding steps and process
- Launch and monitor pre-employment screenings including but not limited to drug and background screenings
- Ensure employment authorization compliance E-verify and complete I9
- Accurately assign new hires to proper internal department and external client ID’s if applicable
- Communicate to internal partners on new-hire onboarding status
- Order new hire equipment and ensure shipping/arrival/setup
- Resolve new hire issues prior to target hire date
- Properly assign benefit and offer package details (i.e. benefits, PTO, ect.) appropriately
- Coordinate first-day orientation with corresponding Employee Service Specialist
- Support offboarding and end-of-assignment duties
- Perform audits when necessary involving E-verify, drug/background screenings, benefit burdens, PTO burdens, HR records, ect.
- Generate and submit new hire reports to payroll and expense team
- Respond and answer questions to pending news, providing outstanding customer service during onboarding process
Minimum Education/ Abilities/Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an employee support, onboarding or HR-related role (will consider HR internships)
- Prior experience processing and supporting new hire logistics highly desired
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline preferred
- High-level of ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines and goals
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide proper follow up required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with above-average typing skills requisite for success in role
Compensation / Benefits:
$42-45,000 base + $4,000 Additional Annual Bonus Potential, Employee Profit-Sharing Program, 4 Weeks Paid Time-Off, 6 Paid Holidays, 401k (w/company match), M/D/V Benefits
