Logistic Coordinator - 2ND Shift / 3rd Shift

The current openings are across all teams there in their operations center. The three departments are Delivery Assurance, Freight Forwarding, and Air charter. All departments have very similar responsibilities, and just handle a different part of the customer service and logistics process. Each department is not above or below the other, rather they handle different parts of the process.
Responsibilities in these teams, will include speaking with current customers when they have needs for shipping freight. The role of this person is to work with that customer to figure out the fastest and cheapest way for the items to be shipped that the customer is needing shipped. For example if they tell this person they need XYZ shipped, the coordinator will determine for ex. we are going to need 5 pallets, one truck....etc. After they determine how the item(s) are going to be shipped they will track and trace the freight to make sure it reaches it's destination.
During this process problem solving, critical thinking, and outside the box thinking are all involved. This person must have the business oriented mind to be able to solve problems, and come up with solutions as they arise. The employee will be trained in all of the logistics knowledge and strategies. But the ability to think outside the box, and strong initiative.
Someone that comes from sales or negotiations would be a good fit for this position. Preferably from a call center or high volume contact center. All of the orders and customers they are working with are over the phone. So clear communication is very important. A person that did customer sales / retention over the phone would be an ideal candidate.
The candidates must also have a good sense of paying close attention to detail. In logistics small things matter, and little details are very important.

They are looking for someone that has at least 2-3 years of customer service experience, ideally in any type of logistics, or service delivery. It is important they have an interest in logistics and customer service.
