You are responsible to ensure the company and its products adhere to standards for food safety and quality. You will perform routine checks and verifications on product and equipment within a food manufacturing facility, and assists with enforcing GMP compliance and best practices.

1. Perform daily facility checks, line audits, and production paperwork verifications.

2. Perform HACCP checks as assigned.

3. Assist with enforcing GMP and general Food Safety compliance in all GMP areas and throughout the production process.

4. Assist with regulatory sampling as needed.

5. Perform monthly scale & magnet checks and other verification activities as assigned.

6. Inspect and verify the accurate completion of equipment cleans.

7. Initiate non-conformance reports and holds, ensuring all non-conforming product is properly segregated on the floor.

8. Enforce the allergen control program, assisting with scheduling production runs as necessary.

9. Pull and compile samples from each production run for sample retention program and shelf life testing.

10. Responsible for on-the-line guidance relating to quality, food safety, traceability, and/or documentation procedures as needed.

11. Assist Quality Specialist in the documentation of information for incoming materials as needed.

12. Field and log customer returns as needed.

13. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher in Food Science or similar field preferred. Or experience as a quality tech (from automotive etc doing documentation)
  • Minimum 2 years food processing and manufacturing experience preferred. Quality experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency preferred.
  • Able to problem solve and adapt to help others find solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-driven
  • Strong work ethic and personal/professional integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred
