This is a 3rd shift CNC Machinist position working 6p-8a (50 hour work weeks, voluntary weekends).
We are looking for the following types of Machinists (they will look at a variety of experiences and train them to fit into a specific dept.):
- CNC Machinists (Mill/Lathe)
- Screw Machinists
- Grinding Machinists
- Hydromat Operators/Machinists
- Rotary Transfer Machinists
Overall, they have 350 different types of CNC machines (Screw Machines- Tornos, ID Grinders-Cincinnati, Centerless Grinders, CNC Mills, CNC lathes) . They are a high volume/high precision/small part shop putting out upwards of 100k parts per day, over 9 million per year. The tolerances are (+/-) 10-20 Microns. The material they're using is different types and thicknesses of steel.
The candidate will be required to come in and attend daily meetings. Understand what needs to be ran on their shift and the work stations they're assigned to. The number of CNC's they'll be in charge of at one time is up to 3. Throughout the course of the day they may be required to do up to 8 or 9 tool changes a day on all 3 machines. They will then load the CNC, pull the program, make minor edits to the program if needed. The part will run, they'll take it off the line and do quality checks with Micrometers and Calipers. The quality checks will be done every 300-400 parts. The parts are then stored in a bin and are shipped out to customers daily.
