Company has been given work for GM. This work is for battery assembly and battery material handling that will go in GM plants.

The equipment consists of conveyors, elevators, and other material handling equipment. GM is giving them a lot of data that they got from another supplier. This data is unorganized and possibly incorrect, so company is responsible for looking thru this data and ensuring it's correct as well as organizing it. These BOM's that will be coming have over 5000 lines of data in them. These people will be responsible for viewing files to ensure the correct information is enclosed, managing and organizing the BOM's, to ensure that the work packages (these will be sent to the plant) so the equipment/line can be installed & commissioned correctly. Currently this is taking 10 days to complete so work packages are accurate and GM wants this down to 1-2 days.

Day to Day Duties:

- Going thru data and files to ensure that everything that is supposed to be there is there

- Organizing the BOM so goes in order

- Ensure the CAD files match what is in the BOM

- Able to manipulate files (if capable or ask others to assist) and manipulate spreadsheet

This will be minimal if any, but if they have a desire to travel to the GM plants they could have the opportunity if they want

Start time is 7am and they will work 45-50 hours a week

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST Haves:

- 3 years of experience working with BOM's; this could be in a Coordinator capacity, but also could be an Engineer (they won't be doing engineering), or a Designer who has worked with BOM's

- Understanding what goes into a BOM and what shouldn't go in a BOM

- 3 years of experience/knowledge of assembly equipment, automation, or manufacturing (how parts are made/assembled)

- 3 years of experience in Microsoft Excel (manipulating data, organizing data, creating Macro's

- Willing to be adaptable and change tasks if need be

- Able to ask questions to get answers, a lot of this work could be ambiguous so asking for help or asking customer questions is critical

Nice to Have:

- Previous experience working on GM projects

- Previous conveyor experience

- Previous CAD experience as they could help in transferring CAD files from Solidworks to UGNX
