Technicians will be working on any equipment within the production facility. Equipment that they will be working on includes conveyors, lifts, switches, motors, and more. Second and third shifts usually takes care of more PM work as there is less production going on. These technicians may be required to work at heights of up to 20 feet to install or repair equipment. Please cover this when talking with potential candidates.
Each technician will be assigned different parts of equipment and production lines and they will be responsible for handling the work orders and preventative maintenance on that equipment. The troubleshooting and repairs that are done daily are 70% electrical, 30% mechanical. They will provide for an electrical apprenticeship as well.
- Techs come in and have morning meeting with supervisor
- Check work orders and then grab tools and kits that are pre-assembled
- Go out on the floor and take care of work orders and PM work
