Electrical Designer

Description:

Hiring within Electrical Department for an experienced Electrical Engineer. Will be designing and engineering electrical systems for K-12 school districts and healthcare projects utilizing Revit and some MicroStation and AutoCAD. Involved in schematic design phase through construction administration; working with a Project Manager/Sr. EE along the way.

Each project involves:

-Design & Development: pre-design work (coordinating, understanding project, scope of work, etc.)

-Engineering/calculations

-Coordination of layouts and components

-Construction Administration phase to close out the project: shop drawings, punch lists, site visits, etc.

Day to Day:

-Revit to create designs and documentations of power systems including: primary power, secondary power, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, electrical circuits, and other auxiliary systems throughout the K-12 buildings

-Fill in technical detail using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations

-Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, etc.

-Specify system components of products to ensure in sync with engineering design and performance specifications

-Attend project team coordination meetings

-Review shop drawings/submittals

-Develop materials and presentations for client meetings

-Present electrical systems (designs) to clients to review

-Respond to Requests for Information (RFI's)

-Interact with Project Team at large for coordination purposes

1. 8+ years of experience as a EE for an A&E firm or electrical contractor on commercial projects

2. EIT / License
