Downriver company looking for electricians!
Apprentice Electricians will be working on commercial
projects in the Troy, Southfield, and Metro Detroit area. They could help at
industrial facility if ever needed as well, but 98% of work will all be
commercial construction work.
Below are the job duties as followed:
-Assist in troubleshooting motors, motor controls, motor
control centers, magnetic motor starters, transformers, and other electrical
-Properly install and connect push-button controls, limit
switches, pressure switches, float switches, flow switches, and other types of
motor control devices.
- Assist in installing control and distribution apparatus,
such as switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, and transformers, fastening
in place with approved fasteners and supports using hand tools and power tools.
-Learn to observe function of installed equipment or system
to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
-Learn to layout and install electrical work for commercial
projects, from info on drawing, sketches, and specifications.
-Assist in carrying-out assigned tasks with customers using
good oral and written communication skills
-Assure that work is done safely and correctly.
