Patient Account Representative (CSR)

Patient Access/Collection team. They currently are servicing Hospitals and all employees of company to make sure payments are all met.
Call Types: The Patient Account Representative will be working on PSB's inbound team where they will average about 40 calls a day regarding billing, insufficient funds, overdue payments and insurance inquiries. Reps will need to be prepared to answer questions such as setting up payment arrangements, questions about billing statement, and possibly helping with financial aid. Other calls include charge disputes, insurance companies and attorneys calling for information, patient care concerns, service estimates, precertification/authorizations, etc. Reps will be able to direct the patient to the appropriate source but all situations need to be handled professionally
Many calls get routed to PAS when other departments are not sure where to direct a patient or the patient calls the number on their statement, which requires PAS reps to be able to research and find the answers or redirect call correctly.
• Answer inbound calls (majority of their day) in a busy fast-paced call center environment
• Balance Resolution-address patient balances and ask for payment on accounts

• Computer literacy is a must-ability to navigate in multiple systems/toggle between multiple
- Role will involve collections of funds and would be plus if they have background but if not it will be very easy to learn!
