In this position the person of interest will be doing order picking 95% of his/her day. They will be entering order numbers into a scan gun base off a pick sheet that is designated from a supervisor. This pick sheet will tell them the number of picks in a specific location and then will let them know the number of items to pick. The training process will be very detailed because there are multiple unites in a package, on a line item. People need to understand basic math and anyone that has cherry picker experience is someone that we want to attack off the get go.
The order pickers can be expected to go up to 25 feet, so they can’t be scared of heights. Most picks will be done on the first 3 shelves or 12 feet, however. On the tour, you will be able to show the picker and make sure that people are able to pass the judgement factor of being in the air. If they are not going to be a fit for the picking function, there is a freezer crew, receiving crew and people that count inventory. Warehouse order picking is going to be the main function so making sure that anyone that come from this function and is interested in making bonus money on their picks per hour, per day, per month….. there is a bonus structure clearly laid out.
We are mainly looking for 1st and 2nd shift order pickers but not opposed to 3rd shift working as well. Most new employees will be operating a cherry picker and an RF scan gun for 95% of the day. We need to make sure that people are again, comfortable with potentially elevating in the air but utmost picking the designated lines for make quotas. There are going to be time where people are going to be asking to use pallet jacks and wrapping machines…. This will be for the staging process but will make sure that efficiency and pick bonuses are met!
People will be asked to continue to pick line items at a consistent level that will be laid out in the expectation’s sections below. Those how don’t meet the minimal expectations will be terminated for efficiency errors but those who exceed the minimal expectations will receive $1-2 an hour per month bonus. This will be a big-time metric that people will be held accountable to.

Must be willing to train in multiple areas but will primarily be order picking all day/night. Shifts will consist of a minimum of 8 hours a day with up to 2 hour or OT per day and some potential Mandatory Saturdays during Holidays. People will be held accountable to the metrics attached to the job description but will be measured at 240 lines a day and 1200 lines per week. When these lines are met, they will be eligible for a bonus which will be outlined in the attached document. When someone is not meeting these minimum expectations there will be training courses to correct them. If there are any attendance issues, production issues or insubordination, all actions will be grounds for termination.
Someone coming in must be an enthusiastic and motivated individual. They are trying to change the culture in the building, and it starts with people who do the rights things and preform at a high level. People will be trained properly and will be held to expectations on a pick level. When they meet and exceed levels, there will be a bonus on a per monthly basis. When expectation is not met and the candidate as a verbal or written warning, failure will result in termination.
No warehouse experience is necessary, but is a huge plus.
