Description (Day to Day Responsibilities):

Test Engineer will perform system level validation of the software developed by the software group

Specific Tasks:

·       Understand the test process and setup in place

·       Understand the complex business logic process flow

·       Create / modify test plans as applicable based on the business logic

·       Execute the created test cases on the target software release

·       Raise any defects as seen from the testing

·       Help the   track the defects to closure from multiple test cycles

Required

Capabilities (How will we measure fit?):

·       Strong understanding of Test processes and types

·       Experience with Manual test procedures

·       Good knowledge of embedded C based software to better write test cases

·       Experience is using JIRA for defect tracking

·       Preferable experience in X-Ray add on in JIRA for test management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or associates in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related
• 1+ years of experience in testing in embedded product field (preferably automotive/industrial products
• 1+ years of using JIRA for defect tracking
• Preferable 1+ years of experience writing software
• Will review entry level candidates as well
