Drafters operate computer-aided drafting equipment to develop structural designs and drawing from rough drafts, notes and sketches. Draw layouts of planned products or structures and use CAD software to produce schematics and blueprints. Provide two- and three-dimensional views of projects to visualize finished products or structures. Will be working with primarily mechanical type assemblies that are on various areas of the rail car, major part assemblies (sensors, motors, boxes), working in close collaboration with mechanical and fluid designers for solid modeling and routing

2-year A.A.S. in mechanical drafting/design 3+ months drafting experience in solidworks, creo, or inventor in manufacturing environment Inventor preferred, but willing to look at other cad packages Preferred experience with piping, routings, conduit Willingness to learn, good communication skills, and action oriented are critical soft skills
