This position is responsible for the care of laboratory animals in accordance with applicable safety, sanitation and research requirements.

- Feed, care and observe physical condition of mice, rats and other lab animals for signs of disease of illness.

- Follow strict protocols in instructions.

- Operate cage and bottle washers, autoclaves and bedding dispensing/disposal equipment. Move and lift heavy equipment/animals.

- Maintain appropriate room, animal receipt and other records.

- Participate in and perform euthanasia of small animals.

- Order and store feed and supplies.

- Clean, sanitize equipment, rooms and facilities.

This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door in a research environment, with a steady M-F first shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School GED or Diploma

6 months of education related to laboratory animals

6 months of experiencing caring for, cleaning, feeding, monitoring and medicating animals.
