Embedded Systems Test Engineer

Description:

This Systems Engineer will conduct Verification & Validation on Software and perform essential engineering duties in planning and designing products. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze functional, clinical, and system specifications to ensure all requirements are testable

• Create detailed Verification and Validation (V&V) test plans

• Develop, coordinate, and execute Design Verification Test (DVT) protocols and prepare test summary reports

• Design test methods and specify appropriate test tools and equipment

• Consider abuse and misuse testing requirements based on functional requirements and risk analysis

• Develop efficient methods of testing, including automations where required

• Deliver compliance matrices for applicable standards

• Work with Customer Support to perform product validation testing with Operator Manuals

• Take initiative to provide technical feedback and innovative ideas to design engineering team from test findings to drive continuous improvement

• Coordinates with external test labs for testing standards compliance

• Participate and contribute to technical design reviews and other activities throughout the design phase

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience

• Internship within medical device industry preferred.

• Experience with electronic products or electro-mechanical systems/products and software

• A Plus if experience working in verification and validation.

• A Plus if experience in software validation

• Demonstrated experience that showcases understanding of the relationship between User Needs/ Product Requirements/ System Requirements/ Test Cases

• Working knowledge of calibrated test tools and equipment
