Description:

Process customer orders for a wide variety of parts.

• Apply internal and external customer requirements in process development

• Interpreted prints, statements of work, purchase orders, and other requirements documents

• Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, processes, procedures and tooling.

• Lead onsite support of production builds of assigned projects / parts

• Creates concise and effective work instructions for production

• Creates technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results.

• Assist in completing required quality documents such as PFMEA and Control Plans.

• Identify potential risks and mitigation for products and processes.

• Nonconformance disposition and corrective action activities

• Be a technical liaison to vendors and customers to support and ensure compliance

• Reduce material and labor cost and improve process efficiencies to positively impact business results.

• Support continuous quality improvement in all aspects of daily work.

• Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation

• Lead transition of production to manufacturing partners in low-cost regions.

• Identifies and implements a comprehensive education plan to continually advance technical skills and individual development plan as well as enhancing organizational effectiveness.

• The employee is expected to develop acceptable work habits, skills, knowledge and contributions consistent with the Manufacturing Engineering II position level.

• Recognize and address advanced mechanical fit/tolerance/GD&T applications. Read, interpret, and understand CMM data.

• Develop an in-depth understanding of key production processes and materials.
