Quality Control Inspector

Seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starter for our Quality Control Inspector opening. The Quality Control Inspector performs inspections at various stages of the production process, collects and summarizes quality data to prioritize and direct improvement efforts. The Quality Control Inspector also conducts problem solving efforts against known and developing quality issues by performing the following duties. - Measures components/parts using tools such as tape measure, micrometers, digital height gauge, Romer/Faro arm (portable CCM), calipers, gauge blocks, gauge pins, protractors and other test and measurement equipment, as required. - Perform audit of in-process and final part or product inspection to ensure compliance with documented procedures and customer requirements. - Interpret engineering drawings and specifications containing elements of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Works collaboratively with design and manufacturing personnel to resolve issues. - Performs necessary maintenance and maintain accurate calibration of all measuring instruments and any tools that require such calibration. - Summarizes inspection results in Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation. - Performs basic root cause analysis of quality issues found both within and outside of the manufacturing environment. - Coordinates and plans for disposition of nonconforming product. - Creates and maintains current files for all quality related correspondence.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or certifications in quality or an engineering discipline preferred - 1+ years' experience of quality inspection or related work experience in a manufacturing environment - Ability to read and interpret documents including, but not limited to blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals - Basic mathematical skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide and work with decimals and fractions) - General computer skills – proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and charting software preferred - Strong communication skills, both orally and written, at all levels of the organization - Ability to work well unsupervised, manage conflicts, handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and highly motivated.
