Description:

The lab technician will support the GeMS (Genomics and Molecular Sciences) Business Unit within Eurofins River Falls. This involves preparing animal and livestock samples for genetic testing. They will prep samples for testing for livestock and genetics analysis.

- Review testing plan for incoming samples and prepare them to be tested on 96 well sample plates within the animal lab.

- Titrate, pipette, make media, buffers, and reagents with high attention to detail.

- Harvest tissues, extract DNA or cells, and prepare for analysis in Genotyping and Gene Sequencing

- Perform qPCR and ELISA testing

- Clean glassware, maintain stock/chemical inventory, and clean the work space

- document via paper ad LIMS to track samples and ensure accuracy of testing procedures.
