Job Description:

AP/AR Representative to help with ongoing work. This person will be heavily responsible for collections and account reconciliations. Main tasks of this job is to work with individual accounts, collection agencies, external brokers to make sure that all accounts are accurate and paid up to the specifications in the customer/client agreement. Responsible for the ongoing analysis and collection / resolution of open receivable balances. Activities include (but are not limited to): Collection activities, Notice of Cancellations, submission to Collection Agency, discrepancy resolution and recommendation of write-offs.

Main Responsibilities:

--Ensure that all accounts receivable / payables are settled and collected as per agreed terms of settlement.

--Identify and analyze all accounts differences and liaise with Underwriting and the brokers to ensure that all items are booked correctly and differences are resolved in a professional manner and on a timely basis. Establish and maintain an abeyance system.

--Recommend write offs where applicable

--Perform credit control function of Accounts Receivable/Payable and related account reconciliations as assigned.

--Coordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems

--Execute settlements with brokers and insurers.

--On an ongoing basis, properly account for all collections through timely application in the system (Global Genius, Genius 2, SAP etc.) and booking in the GL. --Prepare monthly cash, receivable / payable and other account reconciliations / analysis and related journal entries.

--Document application of policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.

--Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements.

--Draft standards to improve quality.

--Project work as assigned

--Collaboration and Customer Service

--Work collaboratively with other Functional areas (Operations, Accounting, Claims) in establishing processes, booking flows and accuracy completeness controls.

--Work with third party collection agencies as required.

--Maintain a collaborative relationship with external brokers. Provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

--Associates degree in Accounting or Finance minimum, or relevant years of work experience. --3+ years in an AP/AR and credit control position. --Proven understand of collections and credit control policy -- Mitigate potential risk of clients leaving.
