Aston Carter is supporting a local client looking to hire an office assistant.


This position provides support for the operations in St. Louis, Missouri. This position will be based at the St Louis production facility and support the Clayton, MO corporate office. The Office Assistant will provide administrative support to the operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.

Essential functions

• Maintain plant office and operations supplies by placing orders on ERP system or vendor portals.

• Receiving of raw material and supplies orders in the ERP system.

• Provides coordination support for service vendors.

• Ensure the site follows record retention requirements.

• Assists with data entry into the maintenance information system software by entering task lists, Preventative Maintenance plans, and spare parts. 

• Assists maintenance and operations staff with the filing of inspection records and equipment records.

• Greets visitors and contractors, and completes initial review of site safety information if needed.

• Support sales order process as requested.

• Runs various errands as requested from shipping packages to picking up lunch or other supplies.

• Support with site time clock duties. -unsure of this one but possible.

• Completes other administrative duties as assigned.

Required skills/abilities

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

 Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.

 Ability to work independently and follow directions accurately.

 Ability to shift directions quickly in a fast-paced environment.

 Consistent attendance and punctuality required.
