Job Description
As an Injection Mold Setup Technician, you will be responsible for the setup and teardown of injection molds in molding equipment, as well as the setup of necessary auxiliary equipment. You will perform first piece inspections of production runs, ensure equipment operates at prescribed cycles, and assist press operators when needed.
Responsibilities
- Locate, transport, install, and store injection molds according to established guidelines.
- Prepare auxiliary and second support equipment as required at the press.
- Monitor presses and alarms, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Follow proper setup checks and floor operation procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing process issues to maintain product quality.
- Conduct audits and document defective parts to ensure part quality.
- Clean molds regularly.
- Ability to perform setup for new molds and highly complex molds.
- Knowledge of plastic resins, mold setup, and functions of an injection molding press.
- Ability to create and route reports and communications.
- Presentation skills for individuals or small groups.
- Basic Math knowledge.
- Operation of forklift and overhead cranes.
- Promotion and maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents.
- Mechanical aptitude and dexterity.

Work Environment
You will work in a very clean medical environment, with assembly areas and some presses located in Class 7 and Class 8 Clean Rooms. Enjoy a nice break room in a newer building.

This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
