Job Description
The role involves working as a masker to protect aerospace and defense metal parts. The task requires covering areas using tape, plugs, and other materials to prevent them from being coated. Working with small hand tools on parts ranging from the size of a quarter to those as large as a shipping container is essential. The job requires high attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on larger parts. Assistance with racking parts may be required occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Mask aerospace and defense metal parts using tape, plugs, and other materials.
- Utilize small hand tools for precision work on parts of various sizes.
- Work independently on smaller parts and partner with others for larger parts.
- Assist with racking of parts as needed.
- Ensure high attention to detail to achieve quality results.
- 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
- 6+ months of experience working with small tools/objects.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Self-motivated and capable of working without close supervision.
- Experience with small part assembly, paint prep, and general production.
- Industrial and aerospace knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience in masking, taping, and using hand tools.
- Must have good vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled. The role is part of a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The employee will have 2 ten-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. The job requires regular communication with visitors and the ability to use a ladder to access parts from various shelving units.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
