Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer supports the design, development, packaging, testing, and integration efforts of electrical/electronic systems. The qualified candidate will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical system design
• Provide detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and system
• Solve moderately complex technical design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge.
• Create, read, and comprehend schematics and interconnect drawings.
• Create and manage interface control documents.
• Perform circuit simulation using tools like PSpice or LTspice.
• Effectively communicate data, information, and technical results to customers through verbal and written communication.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and four years of relevant experience, or two years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
• Proficiency in hardware, analog and digital circuit design using tools such as Cadence.
• Experience with simulation tools including PSpice, Simulink, and MATLAB.
• FPGA low level coding expertise.
• Ability to solve technical design problems at a professional engineering level.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C, C#, and LabWindows/CVI.
• Working knowledge of Visio.
• Familiarity with designing components for high EMI environments.
• Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.

Work Environment

The position requires 100% onsite presence or a hybrid arrangement with more than 50% onsite work. Candidates should be local and available for onsite work as needed.
