Weâre looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team on 2nd shift. If you enjoy working on heavyâduty trucks, tackling a variety of repairs, and expanding your mechanical expertise, this independent retail shop is the place to do it.
đ What Youâll Do
- Repair and maintain large, heavyâduty diesel trucks
- Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engines and related systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, and more
- Work across fleet, pneumatics, auto, and trailer repair
- Apply skills in welding, engine repair, and heavy equipment maintenance
â What You Bring
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of auto or diesel mechanic experience
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across hydraulics, electrical, and PM work
- Handsâon experience with diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, and fleet maintenance
- Must have your own hand and air tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Diesel or auto mechanic certifications (preferred, not required)
- Technical school degree is a plus
- Experience as a higherâlevel lube tech or in heavyâduty truck/trailer repair

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
