CNC Machinist – Operator or Setup
Pay: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available: 1st & 2nd Shift
Schedule Options: 4×10s or 5×8s (flexible)
Overtime: Available + incentives
Environment: Climate‑controlled shop
About the Role
We are hiring CNC Machinists at both the Operator and Setup level to join a growing precision manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for machinists who want flexibility, strong pay, overtime potential, and the chance to work with modern equipment in a clean, controlled environment.
Whether you’re an experienced setup machinist or a strong operator looking to grow your skills, we’re open to different levels of experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up and/or operate multi‑axis CNC mills and lathes
- Work on advanced CNC equipment, including:
- 5‑Axis Mills: DVF 5000, HAAS UMC 500SS
- Multi‑Spindle / Multi‑Turret Lathes: Puma TT2100SYYB, Doosan LYNX 2100LSY
- Swiss‑Style CNC: Citizen Miyano BNE65MYY
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
- Perform first‑article inspections and hold tight tolerances (±0.0002”)
- Change tooling, adjust offsets, and verify programs
- Partner with engineering and production teams on process improvements
What We’re Looking For
(We’re flexible — not all skills are required)
- Experience operating or setting up CNC mills and/or lathes
- Setup experience (fixtures, tooling, offsets, first articles) OR strong operator experience
- Exposure to 5‑axis, Swiss, or complex CNC machines is a plus
- Understanding of GD&T and precision measurement
- Ability to work independently and be a reliable team member
- Interest in learning and growing within a precision machining environment

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Prior Lake, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
