Field Service Technician

Location: Fenton, Missouri


Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM (Monday optional)


About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role supports both the electrical and mechanical departments by troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, collaborative, and capable of working independently in fast-paced environments.


This position involves traveling to customer sites to service existing equipment and assist with new installations. When not traveling, you’ll work onsite with our team on panel builds and custom applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Assist with the installation of new systems and machinery.
  • Interpret and work from electrical and mechanical prints.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in the controls industry.
  • Proven field service experience.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems (up to 480VAC and down to 24VDC).
  • Experience with electrical motors (208/230/240 and 480 VAC).
  • Familiarity with PLCs, especially Schneider Electric and Automation Direct.
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills; IT knowledge is a plus.
  • Positive, professional attitude with a high level of productivity.

Work Environment

  • 25% onsite work at the Fenton office.
  • Up to 75% travel, including potential international trips to Canada or Mexico after the contract period.
  • A valid passport is required.
