Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and mechanically inclined Environmental Technician to join our team. As part of a large environmental consulting firm, you will work on significant agricultural projects throughout the Midwest. This role requires travel, although you will be home most weekends. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the gas collection system to ensure compliance with operating parameters and goals.
- Conduct routine operations and maintenance of blower/flare systems and condensate management systems.
- Perform surface emissions monitoring and field sampling at various test locations, including wells, probes, headers, blowers, flares, and pumps.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical and monitoring equipment.
- Perform maintenance activities such as greasing blowers, cleaning tanks, fusing pipe, and repairing pumps.
- Collect, evaluate, and interpret scientific data; communicate observations and technical data verbally and in writing.
- Work independently or as part of a team, adhering to safety culture principles.
- Record and maintain daily field logs, reporting data collected, field observations, actions taken, and recommended actions.
- Work independently after training completion.
- Mechanically inclined and able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as driving, walking inspections, hand excavation, and using hand and electric tools.
- Willingness to travel with a schedule that allows you to be home most weekends.
- Experience with construction, environmental science, or general labor is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Hazwoper, soil sampling, environmental fieldwork, farming, environmental remediation, or remediation is advantageous.
This position is fully on-site in Overland, Missouri, and involves providing services under varying weather conditions. The role requires physical activities such as driving a pick-up truck, conducting walking inspections, lifting, digging, and using various tools. You will be assigned a work truck that includes fuel and maintenance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
