Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join a leading environmental consulting firm. You will work on large agricultural projects within the Midwest. This entry-level position requires no prior experience but demands a willingness to travel (home most weekends) and a mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the gas collection system efficiently and in compliance with operating parameters.
- Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
- Manage and maintain the condensate management system.
- Perform surface emissions monitoring and field sampling at various test locations including wells, probes, headers, blowers, flares, and pumps.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical and monitoring equipment.
- Perform maintenance activities such as greasing blowers, cleaning tanks, fusing pipe, and repairing pumps.
- Collect, evaluate, and interpret scientific data, and communicate observations and technical data verbally and in writing.
- Work independently or as part of a team, adhering to safety principles.
- Record and maintain daily field logs, reporting data collected, field observations, actions taken, and recommended actions.
- Work independently after training is completed.
- Mechanical aptitude and inclination.
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as driving a pick-up truck, walking inspections, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, hand excavation, climbing ladders, operating man lifts, and using electric and hand tools.
- Experience in construction, environmental science, general labor, soil sampling, farming, and environmental remediation is beneficial.
- HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
This is a fully on-site position located in Overland, Missouri. The role involves working under varying weather conditions and requires physical activities such as driving, walking inspections, lifting, digging, and tool usage. A work truck with fuel and maintenance is provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Overland, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
