Job Description
The Construction Materials Technician plays a crucial role in the engineering consulting sector, focusing on field operations and ensuring the quality of materials used on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations related to construction materials.
- Ensure the quality of materials used on site meets industry standards.
- Conduct laboratory testing of construction materials.
- Perform concrete testing, inspection, and quality assurance.
- Conduct soil testing and use nuclear gauges for quality control.
- Execute compaction tests and concrete slump tests.
- Pull cylinders and break cylinders for testing purposes.
- Experience with testing construction materials in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in concrete testing and inspection.
- Knowledge of ACI standards and construction quality assurance.
- Ability to perform soil testing and use nuclear gauges.
- NICET certification in relevant areas.
- Experience with asphalt and materials testing.
The work environment involves outdoor fieldwork, often in various weather conditions. The role requires the use of specialized equipment such as nuclear gauges and adherence to safety standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
